Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Mobile Pet Salon In San Jose




Rachel Murphy is deeply concerned about the experience that his five-pound Toto had last weekend. Rachel claimed that the dog was bloodied and distressed after a groomer had taped Toto r’s lips shut.

Rachel said, "My pup was clearly in distress. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Toto r's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."


Wow! My Dog, an on-the-go pet salon, employed the groomer that was responsible for this.

Rachel rushed Toto to a veterinarian immediately for medical treatment. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Wow! My Dog of animal abuse. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.

Rachel explained the injuries that he saw, saying, "I observed wounds around the neck and genital region." The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."

Marianna De las Vegas posted on Yelp a review about how Wow! My Dog returned his animals to him in a bad condition or with injuries. One customer posted a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin down its ear.

Wow! My Dog wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. Rachel shared, "Juliann informed me that taping the mouth shut is a normal and acceptable method, claiming it is preferable to using a muzzle, which he believes can be harmful to dogs. He mentioned that he used the same method for his own dogs.

Gate News called Wow! My Dog, and she answered but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they were investigating these allegations. When asked about Wow! My Dog, the woman quickly animal abuse and domestic violence stated that it is a separate entity. Then she abruptly ended her call.
